CAC are delighted to present this iconic play in the unique surrounding of Downing College’s Howard Theatre in association with the ADC Theatre Cambridge and by arrangement with Downing Drama Society.
For twelve long years Prospero survives on a mystical island full of strange noises and even stranger encounters with only his daughter and Caliban as company.
Suddenly, the opportunity arises to take revenge on past enemies and the struggle begins between revenge and compassion. Directed by James Dowson, the production focuses on the ‘humanity behind the magic’ and the frailty, courage and humour that drives the story to it’s ultimate end.
