The Flint Street Nativity by Tim Firth (December, 2021)

The Flint Street Nativity by Tim Firth, 7th-11th December 2021

Director: Sean Baker

Mrs Horrocks’ class of seven-year-olds - all played by adults who look suspiciously like their parents - is about to perform the nativity play in front of their proud mums and dads. Follow the children’s preparations backstage before their increasingly chaotic performance unfolds, while they argue over who gets to play Mary and get distracted by an escaped stick insect. This warm, funny play, includes songs throughout, most of which are traditional carols sung both straight as well as with pointed, sometimes satirical new lyrics reflecting the circumstances of the children singing them.
